Description
In the blink of an eye. Everyone disappears. Gone. Except for the young: Teens. Middle schoolers. Toddlers. But not a single adult. No teachers, no cops, no doctors, no parents. And just as suddenly, there are no phones, no internet, no television. No way to figure out what's happened. And no way to get help.
Hunger threatens. Bullies rule. A sinister creature lurks. Animals are mutating. And the teen themselves are changing, developing new talents - unimaginable, dangerous, deadly powers - that grow stronger by the day.
It's a terrifying new world. Sides are being chosen, a fight is shaping up. Townies against rich kids. Bullies against the weak. Powerful against powerless. And time is running out; On your birthday, you will disappear just like everyone else.

Review
Wow! This novel was amazing! Intense and mysterious and alluring all at the same time. It had me on the edge of my seat waiting to find out what would happen next right from the very beginning of the book. The characters are so creative and each one of them has their own special personality.
The way that it was written kept you interested all the way through. It would continuously jump between different characters/situations right at very intense spots which would make you want to continue reading until you got back to that situation. Plus, at the beginning of the novel, there is an amount of time which continuously counts down at the beginning of every chapter. This makes you curious all the way through as to what the book is counting down to.
The only downside to this novel is that nothing is explained at the end because there is apparently supposed to be a series of these books. And there is a very long wait between novels. All in all, I absolutely loved this book and I wouldn't heitate to read the next one when it comes available.
